Light’s Aptitude
“Colors are the smiles of nature.” -Leigh Hunt.
Light’s Aptitude
I was his coral, and he was my emerald.
Since I was always using colors to describe something,
One day my friend said to me that I was like a box of Crayola crayons.
I’m fragrant, eye-catching, multicolored.
Her choice of words delights me to this day.
Breathing color off flowers rearranges the aesthetic of an entire room.
When the flower dies, the color does too.
Vivacity is in colors, and this sense has always excited the artist in me.
My color atlas— it makes me unique.
I close my eyes and I see purple.
I exhale light pink.
The rarest sunsets.
I’ve captured a few.
The color Aquamarine, painted side by side with black India ink...
It’s beautiful because everyone has color.
Their preferences, their auras, and the complexion of their skin.
We get to phenomenally perceive and recreate hues, yet so many people get caught up in the blues.
Blue is seen as trustworthy; blue is overwhelmingly a favorite color.
But sometimes, there’s a melancholic dullness on a dark blue day.
When the sun thrives
I am myself.
Tucked onto the grass, tasting ripe...Deep Red, watermelon fruit.
Rainbows enchant me. The pattern of the rainbow reminds me to be how I want—pridefully.
I’m grateful for every color I see.
I imagine this: what if I was never able to study the color of my lover’s eyes?
My life is not black and white.
I am thankful I can experience my own honey brown eyes.
Vibrantly gracious chromatics— it’s really just about the Light.
