I began in blackness,

Like the soft cover of this Moleskine notebook

I hold between the small rosy fingers

Of my left hand.

A perfect entity

With no marks

Or scribbles

Or folds.

The endless ivory pages

Blank

Inviting me to

Write my story.

Creating a world

Within a world. I

Tap tap tap

Into the universe

Infinite possibilities

That become animated

Through a torrent of colours

So vibrant

That the purples pop,

The blues bounce,

The greens glow,

And the reds roar.

Each page unique

Open to display my

Imperfect handwriting

Accepting all my flawed scrawls

And misunderstood words.

Through my Lifebook,

I began in blankness,

Like the pearl-white pages of this Moleskine notebook.

Pen poised between the tiny tanned fingers

Of my right hand.

And I create.
