I followed the directions of life to a tee

so how did I end up in this town

Then, I spilled the soda I bought, all over me

trying to get myself turned back around

I snagged my dress in the taxi cabs door

dropped the keys in a random mud puddle

I'm good intentioned rich and follow thru poor

always finding myself in a kerfuffle

I've come here for business and pleasure

to see what the world has to offer

But without the funds I'm just longing for treasure

a wanna be savior who can't walk on water

A world of wonder and questions without answers

a detective of sorts, without pay

All the world's a stage, searching for dancers

and here I stand with left feet on both legs
