Life's Un-Flushable Turds
A poem about the unwanted, abusive, relentless, and irritating people we come in contact with throughout our lives.
Life's Un-flushable turds
Toxic people in your life,
The ones who constantly cause strife.
Those who hoax, swindle, trick, and use you;
Emitting their offensive odor of day-old-poo.
They stick around and remain a pest,
Why can’t they just give it a rest?
Pretending to be your friend,
Floating there, taunting you to no end.
You ultimately realize that this trickster won’t deliver,
And decide that they must be sent down the rubbish river.
But they’re not ready to be shushed or flushed.
They remain a mocking little turd;
Their presence frequently recurred.
Hovering unsettled on the surface of the water,
Such a bothersome, insignificant ugly squatter.
So, how do you rid yourself of them,
And end the vexing mayhem?
What’s to be done?
Do you remain stout, or do you run?
Navigating the sewage pipes can be savage,
And may require the need to pillage and ravage.
The path to freedom might be murky.
But my advice is to pull that lever, and expel that turd ‘Cold Turkey.’
