what made its way back

was something i didn't recognize

when what came back

hit me tween' the eyes

because what came back

sent my emotions into overdrive

when what came back

reminded me, part of me died

what took its place

was a shell of my former self

what took its place

looked like it'd been through hell

what took its place

begged me for a little help

when what took its place

made me sad for a spell

but what happened next

came just in the nick of time

when what happened next

spun my life on a dime

because what finally came back

was the heart of one redesigned

what made its way back

came when i changed my mind

A/N:

When life takes its toll, because it always comes with a price. Remember that change, good and bad, can be used to become better. Not always an easy lesson, but one that if nurtured can bring rewards you never imagined. So, embrace what comes back, not everyone has that priviledge.
