"Letting Go of a Relationship That Was Never Meant to Last"

"Lonely Nights and Empty Hearts"

By A.M OshodiPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

In a love that's lost its way,

I find myself in disarray,

Bound by chains of misery,

In a situationship that's not meant to be.

I long for love that's true,

But here I am, feeling blue,

Trapped in a cycle of pain and hurt,

Wondering if this is all I deserve.

I gave my heart to someone unworthy,

Thinking it would all be fine and dandy,

But now I'm left with nothing but tears,

As I drown in my own fears.

It's hard to let go of what was never mine,

But I know it's time to draw the line,

To break free from this toxic bond,

And find a love that's strong.

I'll pick up the pieces of my broken heart,

And slowly but surely, I'll make a new start,

For I deserve a love that's pure and true,

And I won't settle for anything less than you.
