denial seems to be my favorite word nowadays
as my brain keeps denying the fact
last friday was your funeral.

God, why?
i know it’s a part of a bigger plan
but why does he have to be the sacrificial lamb?
why does he have to be my muse?

maybe if i keep on denying
then i can pretend you’re still here
instead of a memory.
