prickling

itching
to make their way

keep swallowing
down…
they are meant to
be spoken and
heard.

The tears that you
choked up
on for so long.
The tears that are now
building lumps
in your throat,
burning
to escape your
bloodshot eyes, and
trickle
down your cheeks.
The tears that you keep
holding back…
they are meant to
be shed and
dried.
Let them out.
Tear up.
