Let's Not Talk Anymore

Late Night Lullabies

"You Don't Call Anymore" - An Original Glitch Art.

Let's not talk anymore.

Let us be done with the lamentations.

Let's be done with being each other's chore.

Let us go find whatever it is that we've been searching in each other for and coming up short.

Let's quit this act, bow out together and walk out the stage door; go out amicably,

Lucky for the good times while we can still remember them fondly;

Looking back on this moment in a year, or four,

Leaving now would save us both all that time,

Lamentations building as each other we endure,

Let's face it, we're not right, so what are we even doing it for?

Let's stop with all these late night calls, late texts,

Last minute coup de cœurs;

Lament instead at the loneliness we suffer each other for,

Lament our lonely hearts knowing we're not right, but not wanting to break apart,

Let's just stop it all while there's still something left,

Left salvaging of the people we were before,

Lay down your head on your head on a cold pillow,

Let your phone stay on the nightstand,

Let mine stay off,

Let the cool breezes lull us,

Lonesome, into our deep slumber,

Let us awaken without each other in the other's arms,

Let's not keep trying to fight to keep what just isn't there

Let's stop trying to become what we've always known we never were,

Let's make sure we don't have the opportunity to weaken and let old flames take control,

Let's just not even talk any more.
