Let Love Be Done

lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 18 hours ago • 2 min read

[Verse 1]
I’m not wishing to be like another
I’m so grateful for the woman I am.
I long for a steady heart beside me,
A man who keeps his word and understands.

[Pre-Chorus]
Someone who will shelter and protect, not possess,
Who meets my softness with true tenderness.

[Chorus]
I  want a man who’ll love me well,
Who will stand beside me when the hard storms swell.
Let me give him care, let me help him grow,
Two distinct hearts living in  a single shared home.
We don’t have to be the same to stand as one;
In the life God meant for us, let love be done.
Let love be done.
Let Love be done

[Verse 2]
I want to learn about the weight he carries,
I want to make room for every dream he brings.
To give him comfort, truth, and laughter,
And build a life from these  beautiful things.

[Pre-Chorus]
Not a crown,
not a chain, but a promise freely made,
With respect in every word and grace in every day.

[Chorus]
I  want a man who’ll love me well,
Who will stand beside me when the hard storms swell.
Let me give him care, let me help him grow,
Two distinct hearts living in  a single shared home.
We don’t have to be the same to stand as one;
In the life God meant for us, let love be done.
Let love be done.
Let Love be done

[Bridge]
Let him be patient.enough to listen,
Let me be soft enough to still be strong.
May we serve each other gladly,
And keep choosing love when trials come along.
I’m a woman, and I know that with all my heart:
I just want to love him well, and let him love me too.

[Final Chorus]
I  want a man who’ll love me well,
Who will stand beside me when the hard storms swell.
Let me give him care, let me help him grow,
Two distinct hearts living in  a single shared home.
We don’t have to be the same to stand as one;
In the life God meant for us, let love be done.
Let love be done.
Let Love be done
