Remembering the time we stood remembering,

Remembering those fallen,

Knowing we had too,

Fallen to the depths of despair,

Fallen to all time lows,

The juxtaposition we had fallen for each other,

We had crossed over the line,

Gone over the top,

There was no going back,

Stood in the crowd,

Trying not to touch,

The first gunshot,

The sound of death,

The sound of the beginning,

War commenced,

Dying to save each other,

Not realising we could only save ourselves,

Now soldiering on separate,

The battle is continuous,

The Crimson stopped flowing,

The battle scars healing,

As I hope the lost rest in peace,

My love is peaceful,

Not wanting you, wanting you to have peace,

War is over,

I still remember, remembering.
