Lazurus
Raising my love for life and you from the dead.
Laid to rest,
Under the cold ground,
Never to be seen again,
Buried in my heart deep in the dirt,
Covered in dust our names are written,
Can you read our names?
Etched in the cement,
Beside each other forever,
Laid to rest.
Peacefully together once again,
Dancing through the trees,
You're like the wind,
Never to be erased,
Words will be forever engraved in the memory,
Of everyone who ever knew of our forever kind of love.
Building our house upstairs in heaven,
Each stepping stone on the way up,
Each stair a piece of our lives,
A piece of our broken puzzle,
Slowly falling into place,
Coiled and braided together,
Tying our laces tied tight,
In preparation for the long walk together,
Holding hands forever together.
Strolling together off into the sunset,
Casting shadows and shade,
Of our forever that will live on into eternity,
With each step we take into the darkness,
You will forever be my lantern in the darkness,
A beacon in the night of the madness we endured together.
A remembrance of the one heart we shared til this earth was no more,
Dissipating onto thin air,
Until we are together eternally.
Who we are who we were who we were meant to be,
Laid to rest,
Until someone reads these words,
We shall rise from the dead to be remembered once again.
Like Lazurus.
