Lay Down With Me Tonight Boy

Lay down with me tonight, boy,

do not stand there holding back,

the night is thick with wanting,

and there is no turning back.

Come closer through the silence,

feel the weight of what we know,

there is something in this moment,

neither one of us can slow.

I have felt you in my thoughts now,

long before you touched my skin,

like a quiet kind of danger,

pulling me from deep within.

Do not speak of right or wrong now,

leave the world outside this place,

there is only breath between us,

and the hunger in your face.

Your nearness burns without touching,

yet I feel it all the same,

like a spark that keeps on rising,

feeding softly into flame.

Lay your doubts, where you are now,

let them fall and disappear,

you are closer than my heartbeat,

you are everything I hear.

If this night becomes our secret,

let it live beneath the skin,

let it stay where no one sees it,

where it always pulls me in.

Lay down with me tonight, boy,

do not leave me half undone,

stay until the dark has faded,

stay until we feel as one.
