'for sale' - I didn't see that coming

although maybe I should have

you left me a latte in a paper cup

I hate that

the unnecessary waste

your cousin is getting married next month

she still invited me and

I don't know how I feel about it

is your new apartment as crappy as

our house was?

I wish you noticed all the things you never seem to

you'd know about the cups then

it's been a year and sometimes

I wonder how you're doing

I declined the wedding invite from your cousin

if she knew we just broke up,

I don't think she'd be that cruel

did you even tell her?

you left me another damn latte

in another damn paper cup

grrrr

Cathy told me she saw you at the reception

and you got wicked drunk

and started crying

the house is going up for auction in a few days

I guess you didn't keep up with paying the taxes

typical

I drew a middle finger on the newest paper cup

but I still drank the latte

does that make me an asshole?

your mom told me your cousin got engaged

I think she was hinting at the fact

that we're not even close

despite living together for over five years

I stopped drinking lattes

(I even told you so)

yet there was another one sitting

on the kitchen counter this morning

I crossed off my name

and wrote 'fuck you'

it felt so good to throw it at the wall

what does a lien on the house mean?

have you been paying the bills?

I swear I don't know what you do with

all of our money

god, I'm so dumb

you've been screwing the coffee-shop girl

I hope the drinks were free at least

I'm sitting here staring at the house

that used to represent our future

now the bank owns it

I hope you ask me out

you've been showing up where I go

for lunch every day and buying me a latte

it's so sweet

but you really need to stop using

those single-use cups...

they always ruin things
