was once best known

for its railroads

and Old Western charm;

the namesake for

an ol’ NBC series

about two brothers

on Sherman Ranch

cancelled during its fourth season

due to declining ratings;

land of the prison

that housed Butch Cassidy

where it is believe he

acted as a “model prisoner”

for all two years in the pen;

a mansion turned museum

still described as lavish

formed from a former

home for schoolgirls

who paid twenty-two

grand a year to attend;

a twelve foot statue

of former President Lincoln

standing over the

old U.S. Highway 30,

and was once perhaps

the kind of place

families of all kinds

would pull off to on

road trips for a Coke

and a souvenir keychain

with their son’s name on it,

shaped like a boot

and think, “isn’t this

a pleasant little town?”
