a mass of bodies that is

so many souls

swaying like

sublime imitation of the divine or merely waiting for the

drop

only one among them

might change your life

back against the wall

light pool along the clavicle

dress like a shadow

clung to figure

big eyes suddenly

like a juggernaut

just a look is like climbing rungs

to

somewhere better

someone must have said something

because sun sprung

in a smile

a laugh

soundless from distance but sweet to see and sent

thoughts on a cascade

catching gazes on the playing field

feeling free going to make it real

then

strobed shadows consumed

didn’t see you walk away

still always

light pool along the clavicle

laughs leant back against the wall
