Oh bored and tired muse of mine,
Let’s talk of horizontal wine,
The wine as red and thick as lust,
That, just like lust, we simply must
Drink to the final bitter drop.
From bitter seeds come bitter crop,
La dolce vita, ha! Alas,
These bitter herbs are good for us,
Reminding us how things we craved
First made us happy, then - enslaved.
Yes, we were slaves in lands of Oz,
Forever searching for a doze
Forever looking for a fix,
Until we crossed the river Styx;
In many ways - much more than one -
Those days of Oz are long since gone,
But now and then we walk the line.
Let’s talk of horizontal wine.

This is deeper than the deepest parts of the ocean! So brilliant!
I can feel the headache from this poem. But I still prefer my wine vertical, as it travels down my throat!
