knives

(can kill)

By Sara Published 10 months ago 1 min read

been licking love

off your knife.

it tastes like

everything i have

been hungry for

but i am never satiated.

been chasing the rush

you give me

when you kiss my neck

and leave your mark

because i am yours

but you are not mine.

i miss you

even when i am with you

because i know

you were never really

there.

never said hello to you

only goodbye.

it hurt even when

i met you.

i knew you’d

make my tongue

bleed

and my heart break

and my soul

would forever wait for you

in the stillness of the night.

knives can kill.

“i miss you even when i am with you because i know you were never really there. never said hello to you only goodbye.” That is the perfect summation of how it feels to give to someone who only takes.

  • This was so relatable! Gosh you wrote this so beautifully!
