Kinetic Bonds

Like a moth to a flame

As I catch a silhouette of you

Red hot passion is your only wardrobe

Your energy implodes like a multi-colored strobe light

As we dance the night away

Amongst the sun, moon, and stars

In our lover-ship we take trips to Saturn, Venus, and Mars

Ours was the first landing.

With wisdom we knew the ledge and never fell

Understanding that this is how the universe planned it

Eons ago, bonds so ionic

You are my nucleus, Atom

When we covalently lay

We connect like DNA

Each night we bring new life into being

Only to die the next day

And search for a new meaning

To do it all over again

When’s the next trip?

Waiting for take off

I pour a cup of you

And take a long sip

Only you

Quench my thirst deliciously

But, I digress

As we forward back

To that Adam and Eve time

Where we were free to just be

Completely naked.

I draped you in the sable

Of my midnight

As we skinny-dipped in the reflection of moonlight

And caught a glimpse of Love
