Kedamono no kao wa...! "Ke...Kedamono's face is...!"
“White wolf” Popee the Performer

I had a good idea once,
To tear out my very mouth, down like a zipper from a coat, line by line, a good blood-curdling coating of new skin
Of decimating the angry green maw that carried the carnivorous angled jaw that slivered it’s way like a visual gory scenario, imagined from thin air with sounds of screams and dark whimpers
In the soft parted lilac eve,
My mouth, I would create a new one
That sounded like a wild, poorly managed carnival
And a surprisingly pretty verse from a hay-colored haired clown——
I had a dream of a large bloody moon,
Covering the whole body of space,
And earth was smashed
And collapsed
Becoming better as it had become one crying
Celestial body
No longer one selfish, egotistical tomb of sinful pride.
I always felt bad, as my stomach was hurting as though ripped apart inside,
Craving my White Wolf red orange desserts,
A war of evil and furtive avoidance of my destiny—— to join my family bloodline of death.
My face, instead
Was revealed after the nightmare of the blood moon was over
And I was whipped into torment
Smashed into one celestial body of sun bleached brown blood orange star dust,
by my side, was
My hay-colored companion,
And we closed our eyes,
And finally I had a dream of my real face,
Unblemished by disguise
And we could breathe in space
With sparkles of orange tree stars.

Author note: Kedamono, White Wolf and Popee are the sole intellectual property of the genius Ryuji Masuda. I love the war-like lore of Kedamono’s mother’s back story and his fear of his own identity, and this was heavily influenced and inspired as I wrote this. -Melissa
