Juxted-Opposition

9/12/11

Over and over,

We say,

‘Red rover’,

Then call a name;

Just a game.

Repetition, tedious,

Recalling a time when,

Things were simple,

But I can’t go back.

This life, next to another

Of mine, would seem so,

Obscure.

That to view it as mine,

I’d cry.

‘It’s not mine’, I’d whisper.

I’d cry.

And fall apart.

I wish to just

Curl up and

Forget everything.

Even those times

Of repetition, tedious games,

They were such fun.

It would be a crime

If I dwelled on this

Much longer or desired

To return to the time.

Once full of love, now just hate

I die.
