Just Like Her

It Ran Through My Family Until It Got To Me

It's On Repeat

In Her Head

"You'll be Just Like Her."

She's Heard It So Much

That

Her Brain Reminds Her Constantly

Nobody Has To Tell Her

It Echoes Through Her Brain

In A Loud Monotone

More Than Enough Times

To Convince Her

She's Nothing More Than Her

She Can't Control The Voice

She Wants It To Stop

But

It's Constantly There

Making Her Feel Worthless

She Starts Believing It

She Starts Acting Like Her

Giving Up

On Herself

Giving Up

On A Future

Her Faith Fading

Her Own Brain Torturing Her Soul

Beating The Life Out Of Her

"You'll Be Just Like Her"

It Was Like Her Brain

Recorded The Phrase

EveryTime It Was Said

Now The Recording

Wont Shut Off

How Is She Suppose To Get Better

When The Reminder

Of What EveryOne Else Expects

Wont Shut Off

She Doesn’t Want To Be

Just Like Her

She Wants To Be Better
