And The Sights And Sounds Of Summer

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 30 days ago Updated 30 days ago 1 min read

(Doug) “I see that the Jones’ got a new porch light this weekend,”

(Carl) “The Smith’s got a new car…”

(Chuck) “I’m just so hungry all the time, it smells like a smorgasbord over there,”

(Jerry) “Where is all the buzzing noises coming from? Bzzz, bzzz, bzz, and the lights keep me up all night.”

(Liz) “And it smells sooo good, like when the Connor’s have their family barbecues, burning carcasses and sweet tea .”

(Linda) “i’ve been skipping meals for hours trying to be ready for swimsuit season, those tiny Jones’ are sure tasty.

(Chuck) I for one, hope they never stop trying to outshine each other, the variety is magnificent.”

(Jerry) Hey, would you look at that! It looks like they’re hanging the same curly strips that the Connor’s have. I really feel an uncontrollable need to touch it.”

(Liz) I wouldn’t touch that with a ten foot pole, my cousin is still trying to get free from the one across town.’

(Doug) “Juuust a liiitttle touch, oh no, uuugghhh, a little help please!”

(Linda) Everybody scatter, they’ve got the swatters and spray…!”

Buzz bzzzz bzzz bz, ZAP, SPLAT!!

(Silence)

(Mrs. Conner) “Thank goodness, I think the bug zapper and fly strips are finally working."
