I fell in love with the sea

and the depths that he promised to me

but all that stayed were shallow tide pools.

The rest of him,

like the restless south wind,

kept longing and searching for better jewels.

Rumor has it I can still be found on the sand

with my arms out stretched - heart in my hands

guarded only by a light house that still shines only for me,

Cloaked in moonbeams and naivety,

building coffins for all of my daydreams.

I climb up to the beacon against it's quarrelsome plea,

not a glimpse or a thought before I leap,

my soul the only requiem that he may keep,

and

... jump

... ... into

... ... ... the sea
