Joy and Pain

air and water

By Harper Lewis Published 4 months ago 1 min read
Joy and Pain, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock

Air and water, joy and pain,

Rob Base:

pump pump pump pump it up,

sunshine

and rain.

What else?

Sometimes

air and water

make fire in the sky,

complete with booming

crescendoes

shaking the earth

bass thrumming through trees

into the roots spreading through

the earth down to the river.

Storms? Perhaps,

or maybe just momentary

collisions of indecision,

unions of irreconcilable

forces of nature

bringing flowers

to every idiot with eyes.
