There once was a man, full of glee,

With a power quite rare, you'll soon see,

He could time travel, it was quite a feat,

But not through space, just through memories sweet.

He'd close his eyes and think with might,

Of a moment, he'd like to take flight,

And poof! He'd be transported in time,

To relive the memories, so sublime.

One day he thought, "I'll go back to school,

And relive those days that were so cool."

But alas, his youthful days were gone,

And he found himself in detention, oh so wrong.

"I'll try again," he said with a grin,

"I'll go to a party, and let's begin."

But the party was dull, and quite a bore,

So he quickly left, and was back once more.

He thought and thought, of a place so grand,

And finally found, the memory at hand,

It was his wedding day, so full of cheer,

And he relived it all, with his bride so dear.

But as he hugged her, she disappeared,

And he was back, with a tear and a sneer,

He realized, that memories were all he had,

And the real moments, well, they were just too sad.

So he decided, to live in the present,

And make new memories, so joyous and content,

He laughed and he loved, and danced in the sun,

And soon enough, he realized, he had won.

For memories are precious, but life's even better,

When lived with love, laughter, and no regrets ever,

So he cherished each moment, with all of his heart,

And time traveled no more, for a brand new start.

And every now and then, when he closes his eyes,

He revisits those memories, with gentle goodbyes,

But he's content with the present, and all that it brings,

And knows that the future will have joyous things.
