Jeté

The Daydream

By Mother CombsPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

A girl with stars in her eyes, so bright

Had a mind where dreams take flight

She pirouettes through fields, her spirit free

Jetés and leaps, envisioning her destiny

🩰

With every graceful step, a giraffe appears

Its long neck reaching, dispelling fears

With spots like stars, a constellation's outline

Together they Balancé, in a timeless design

🩰

Her mind wanders, lost in a daze

Of fluid movements and sun-kissed days

She twirls and spins, her feet barely touching the ground

As the giraffe's gentle motions make no sound

🩰

Their journey takes them to faraway lands

From bustling cities to desert sands

They Chassé together, in perfect harmony

A girl and her giraffe, performing the Dance of the Abolone

🩰

But as the sun begins to set

Her daydream fades, and reality is met

The girl rouses from the haze, her heart still aglow

With memories of Jetés and giraffes, her soul will always know
