Jazz

Joyful, jazzy

Jittering, jostling, jiggling

Jukebox, jeep, jazzmen, jitterbug

Jocular, jovial

Jumping, jesting, jerking

Jive.

Writer's notes: This poem is submitted to the Tautogam Challenge. JAZZY is written in a diamante poem format.

What is a Diamante poem? Is a style of poetry consisting of seven lines. The lines form a diamond shape. The first and seventh lines have one word. While in the Synonym Diamante poem, the first line word and seventh line word are the same or similar, in the Antonym Diamante poem the words first line word and the seventh line word are opposites.

Did you notice that lines one four, and seven are all nouns? In lines, two and six two adjectives are used with three verbs are used in lines three and five.

A special shout-out to Denise Lindquist for sharing and introducing me to the poetry style.

Hey don't encourage Vocal peeps, this sounds complicated. Have to get over tautograms first. Loved it.

Great job on your poem, Babs Iverson! Your use of language and structure in the diamante poem format is impressive. The word "Jazzy" perfectly captures the lively and energetic spirit of jazz music, and your use of descriptive words and verbs adds depth to the poem. Keep up the good work and keep exploring different poetry styles!

You had me with the title Jazzy. I'm a big fan of jumping jive, swing, jitterbug and all that jazz. You did a great job with this tautogram and diamante form. Outstanding. I am familiar with all the terms you used. I really loved this.
