It Will Come to You

Things come and go–just like the tide.

By jessica skorupskiPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

He might be gone but I still see him

the way my hair curls

the way I lash out at people

he is in my DNA and I can't change that

but I can be better

I used to look like my sister

funny enough, we had different dads

I've never called her my 'half sister'

because she has always been my sister, its not fair to cut it in half

but I've cut my hair, dyed it, and she had a baby

and she's gone too now

its been over a year since we actually talked

people come and go, like all things

its not about getting used to it or letting it go

they were a part of your life and now something else is a part of you

sometimes even if you love something its better for it to go

so that you can let in new love.
