It Thumps

Say It Again

It Thumps

can you hear my heartbeat

as it quietly calls your name

branding your souls imprint

in its entirety it's claimed

exposed, consumed and set aflame

a fire that can't be tamed

ruining me forever

casting me inside these chains

thump, thump

thump, thump

can you hear it as it lingers

as it gently fans the flame

like the roaring of a home team crowd

during a winning game

to dismiss such deep affection

would surely be a shame

gather up true love's confection

until we are never the same

thump, thump

thump, thump

it's evidence reveals the truth

a power that consumes

filling up my head and entire rooms

until it rules the world

thump, thump

thump, thump
