It's been a while, can you tell me why,

Your silhouette still stains my sky?

Though seasons turned and rivers ran,

My soul still lingers where we began.

I have no wings, yet every night,

I drift through constellations of fading light.

I cross the hush of sleeping seas,

And gather your name from wandering breeze.

I speak no words, yet softly bloom

Like moonlit jasmine in a silent room.

I knock on doors of memory's hall,

Where echoes answer but never call.

What am I, hidden yet alive,

A tender ache that learns to survive?

It's been a while that much is true,

Since my pulse found its way to you.

I've counted sunsets, gathered scars,

And stitched my longing between the stars.

Still, I wander through twilight's veil,

Following traces your absence leaves pale.

So solve my riddle, if you can:

What outlives distance, time, and span?

A ghost? A prayer? A dream untold?

A flame that neither fades nor grows cold?

No,

I'm the quiet yearning beneath the tide,

The unfinished verse I can no longer hide.

I'm the ache that lingers in evening's blue,

And the answer, my love,

is how I've missed you.
