Women look hatred in the eyes

every single day

from stripping us of civil rights

to interrupting all we say

Misogyny stains society's hands

blood red for all to see

unintentional or internalized

still keeps us from being free

Some try to wash their hands of this

saying "Well... that wasn't me"!

but when we push and work for change

only care to protect the "he"

The only solution that is true,

is to reflect and look within

learn from voices of the women

that the world has gravely sinned

I myself have much to learn

and I'm not afraid to say so

ladies of diverse identities

I look to you and work to grow

For inaction is the one true bullet

that makes the shot a kill

those who believe they're above it all

don't care and never will

but their silence only benefits

those they claim not to be

see the world through a woman's eyes

it's all the same to me.
