a summation of thoughts while I drive:

the feelings of men are stigmatized,

making them feel shame and despise when they cry

men prioritize a society’s lie of humiliation,

I have come to surmise

all in on this scene advertised

choose to defer their emotions unwise

to skip rebirths that would let feelings outside

avoiding paths of renewal like an infant baptized

so if I crash tonight, I hope my spirit survive s

because I know for fact, a life such as that is a terrible prize

before EMTs come to inspect the wreck and paramedics arrive

please unmask me under the lights

wet, salty cheeks no longer disguised

I should never drink, let alone write, while I drive
