Invisible Scars

No matter how hard I’ve tried,
I can’t seem to erase the scars.
They’re there,
even though they can’t be seen with the naked eye.
It would be so much easier in a way,
if I could look down at my arm and see the scars resting,
but instead they’re invisible.
But the scars burn most alive,
when I see happy,
complete families.
