A New Chapter I Would Face

It was time to leave my high school days.

I had growth and success in many ways.

Now I would face a chapter that's new.

My past is behind, my dreams beside.

I had paths to choose; mountains to climb

And learned to take one day at a time.

The world said "go" and I said "I will."

With a rising heart, a voice that's still.

Time to walk forward, be on my own

And be ready to face the unknown.

The path's a room with a closing door,

A place that fits, but it holds no more.

There wold be many friends that are new.

God 's mercy and grace would see me through.

When I would fall, I'd hold my head high,

Never lose hope and reach for the sky.

I wold not forget the halls I knew

But look ahead with purpose in view.

The lessons I learned were built to last.

I'd make new mem'ries cause time goes fast.
