Into the abyss

Abysmal journey

By Jessica TaylorPublished 20 days ago • 1 min read

This is going to be endless

I have entered a rabbit hole

Is there light at the end of this abyss

Why does this weigh upon my soul.

I have to admit that I have fallen far

Time and time again he has shifted

My mind does not know where we are

But tonight a small burden was lifted.

The weight of our conversation stays

Is this regret in my invite

Is this something new in the coming days

All I know is how I feel tonight

Calm rushes through me

Just from his arms and a moment in time

Images of him are all I can see

And my whole is out of rhyme

Further I would have gone

If i didn't know the facts

Yet these thoughts turn to song

And I'm stupid because I didn't act.

Would I have let myself go

If he pulled me into a kiss

Does he even know

That I long for his bliss.

How far would it have been taken

If i would have stopped my fight

Would we both be shaken

If we would have held on all night

My mind fights the rampage

Im overwhelmed with vision fire

I feel the grays in my age

Damn this growing desire!

I have entered a rabbit hole

This is going to be endless

Why does this weigh upon my soul

There is no coming back from this.

My deepest desire is to be able to help people; since I am too shy to be a professional speaker I decided that writing is my next best option. However, I do love the feel of the pen upon the page and the clicking of my keys on my keyboard.
