I want you to hold me in your arms,
like a warm blanket
that comforts and soothes.
I want to feel your energy
as it moves into mine,
and we become intertwined as one.
A force under the sun
that cannot be reckoned with.
Our failures,
our pains,
shared,
undeclared
to whom they belong to.
Because it’s us.
Not you
and not me,
but we.
Oh, how I long
for a love like this.
Connected
like nothing ever before.
I want you to hold me
like you’d die
if you let me go.
As though I’m the thing
that allows you to breathe,
and without me,
you can’t see anything.
I am the light
in the dark room,
and you
are my protection.
