Interference
...work hard just to be pleased.
Jealousy of my younger sister and her friends,
My feelings of frustration never seem to end.
They glide through life so carefree and bold,
While I struggle to reach my goals, as if caught in a chokehold.
Their achievements come ones after the other,
While I'm left behind, feeling like a damper.
It's like they have some secret weapon,
That propels them forward, without any tension.
My heart fills up with envy and spite,
As I watch them soar into the limelight.
Their success seems so easy and light,
While mine seems like a constant fight.
I know it's wrong to feel this way,
But sometimes I can't help but sway.
My heart yearns for their effortless ease,
As I work hard just to be pleased.
But deep down, I know the truth,
That their success isn't without proof.
They work hard and put in the time,
And that is what truly makes them shine.
So I'll let go of my jealousy and envy,
And focus on my own goals, wholeheartedly.
For in the end, it's our own hard work and strife,
That ultimately propels us through this life.
