Rainbow hues

Narcissistic views

Certain of your own superiority

Ergo, all others certain inferiority

You ponder the meaning of life

As it passes you by, unnoticed, rife

You believe you look at all sides

Instead, viewing each clip on rising tides

Of egotistical intellectualism

Filtered via blind surrealism

You dismiss me as less intelligent

Thus, all I say or believe is irrelevant

Just because I have not an advanced degree

I must be lost, adrift in an ignorant sea

Blinded to reality by your own learning

All other opinions continually spurning

Your degree is but a piece of paper

May as well burn over a candle taper

Hallowed halls of higher learning

Do not teach you of common sense or yearning

Understanding chemical bonds and biology

Does not invest one with a proper theology

Persons are more than biology and elements

We are not just laboratory experiments

Each of us has our own views

Each shining in our own unique hues

We all have our needs, wants, dreams

Each of us is a unique universe of themes

You are not the epicenter of every bell tone

But only the center of your own

Understand there are as many universes out there

As there are creatures to perceive a when, a why, a where

I feel sorry for your inability to understand the truth

From every single creature something to learn forsooth

This is the ultimate truth! I feel that education nowadays is useless! It doesn't prepare us for the real world or to survive. Like you said, it's just a paper!
