Inside My Mind

A short poem describing what goes on in my head.

Closing my eyes,

What do I see?

I see a world,

Created by me.

There are so many familiar faces,

And even some places.

That I recognize,

Even though they don't exist.

I'm back in a school,

Oh, god, no.. that's not cool.

Where I'm introduced to thirty-nine students,

That I have seemingly known before through documents.

Some of these students are shy and silent,

Some of these students are quite violent.

Some of these students are tomboys,

Some of these students are full of joy.

Extremely different in personalities,

And then there's one student who's a heartbreaking casualty.

In this world in my mind,

Everyone is quite fine,

I can pick who is kind,

I can choose who would whine.

Some may be interested in crime,

And eventually will have to pay the fines,

Inside my creative mind.
