Based insanity-

Wars and conflicts rim the sphere,

Hate, opposed to love.

___

Animosity,

Breaths of our humanity-

Passions ignited.

___

Infernos combust-

falling stars to embers blaze,

scorching Mother Earth.

___

Weeping lustrous tears-

Ashes to ashes to dust,

Paradise is lost.

What inspired this one Scott? You certainly capture the zeitgeist with these haiku!

I think we’re somewhere in between the 2nd and 3rd haiku as a whole, while some places have already reached the 4th stage. The sad truth of the world we’re living in and where it’s headed, we’ll done.

  • If Milton and Dante had met , great words

  • Paradise is lost, indeed! Loved your Haiku!

This is beautifully worded although somber and dark! You really did a great job here transitioning from animosity, to destructive chaos, to sadness. In the end I closed my eyes and I heard the music. ☺️
