Inner Musings For The Inner Self

What is your inner voice trying to say?

What does it mean to see yourself?

To see the connection within?

What does it mean to look into your soul

To meet the person you could've been?

Have you ever looked back at your forks in the road?

Wondered if you chose the right path?

Have you ever been tasked with making the decision

In whether to move forward or turn back?

Have you ever fallen in love?

Looked into the eyes of another?

Had to leave that person behind

To follow the light of your future?

Have you ever felt that pain before?

Did it help you find your strength?

In choosing the person you were meant to be

Instead of turning to distraction to escape?

Did you know that they loved you too?

Did you know that you're never alone?

Even if you heart has been carved from your soul

It doesn't need to turn to stone

Can you see the woman in front of you?

There's a reason she looks familiar

It's more than just the color of her eyes

It's ok that you feel safe with her

I know you have your suspicions

I think you know you're right

You're gazing into the face of your future

Look into the pool in her eyes

Do you see your past and present?

Do you see how you'll continue to rise?

Through the storms and rain and clouds

And into the sunny skies?

Into a world you're meant to see

Into a brand new galaxy

Do you see the height of the mountain you are?

Do you feel the power in your seas?

She knows how hard it is

The weight of the decisions you have

But she knows what sits within

The flame that's guiding you on your path

Open your eyes and ears

There's so much left for you to hear

Allow that flame to burn inside

And release that temporary fear

Continue to look in her eyes

She's never led you astray

She's never led you to your demise

So listen...

What is she trying to say?
