India solider story

Solider difficult life

By jitubanna1Published 4 years ago 5 min read

I am soldier

Struggling with odd circumstances,

I understand all these questions,

The Nawab, who sits on the throne,

I ask them the answer,

You have to give account of my share.

I soldier,

Every time I return, leave

At home, cow's filter is broken,

Bapu's finished medicine bottle,

Mother's broken eyeglasses, the stove is slowing down,

Memorandum of children's fees

I get lots of work,

Everywhere

I lay on the border,

Pouring cube, I tolerate cold fire,

Whenever I go to work,

The lips are sewn to the wife, the eyes are filled with the mother,

And dad will come back

Discussion on children's tongue

Every time I leave thinking of the last meeting,

Father instructs,

Reaching the letter of salute

I was plagued with unemployment,

Was battered by the circumstances,

Got hold of army job,

Because

The poverty was overwhelming.

Neither was I fond of the army that day,

Neither did I know patriotism,

The front face was standing left,

It was a time of helplessness in the army.

All the big people have looted my army,

Soldier dies

Because there is a big peg of sentimentality.

I have seen,

To the family of the martyred soldiers,

Every character cheating the martyr's family,

I have seen the court turn around.

A medal does not pay husband's rights,

The father does not get the shoulder from the piece of land,

Children in difficult times

The father's shadow is not found.

In the valley of Kashmir, in the scorching soil of Rajasthan,

In the jungle of Assam, in the swamp of Rann of Kutch,

In the trench of the trench, in the shadow of the bayonets,

I die trying to live, I question the rulers of the country.

Why is there no equality in the country

Why Naxalite daggers get tanned,

Is there any solution you have, or should the public give up.

Why the children of the rich are not in the army, is he not a patriot?

Why is the minister's son not with us,

Is there anything special about them?

And if it is

So stop pretending to tell me great,

I know, this is a conspiracy to protect oneself,

To kill me prematurely.

I was not born a patriot,

But I had a gambling house car on my shoulder.

I have many questions in my mind,

But what to do

I am an ordinary citizen of the country, just sitting silently,

I know the reality in my mind,

But even then I have taunted Khudari with great confidence.

I am a soldier of the country,

Today I am sitting here to tell you.18 November 1962. It was about to be morning. The icy twilight had spread. The sun had not yet climbed to a height of 17,000 feet. In Ladakh, cold and freezing winds were blowing. Here the guards of India were present on the border. The 'C' Company of the 13 Kumaon Battalion was stationed in the Chushul sector. There were 120 soldiers in the battalion, who had nothing to avoid this melting cold. He was new to this environment. Earlier, he had no experience of being in the middle of the snow like this.

Then, in the twilight of the morning, some movement started from the Chinese side on Rejang La (Rejang Pass). The soldiers of the battalion saw that some light bullets were coming towards them. Blinking. The captain of the battalion was Major Shaitan Singh. He ordered to shoot. After a while they came to know that these lightsabers are actually lanterns. Hanging them in the neck of many yoke sent the Chinese army towards India. It was a trick. China attacked India over Aksai China.

Major Shaitan Singh

The Chinese army was fully prepared. He had a habit of fighting in the cold and had enough weapons. While the Indian contingent had only 300-400 rounds of bullets and 1000 grenades. Guns were also such that used to fire one at a time. They were declared useless after the second world war. China was aware of this. That is why he did this trick to stop the detachment. Chinese soldiers started moving forward.

A picture of the India-China war

Major Shaitan Singh spoke to senior officials over the wireless. Asked for help Senior officials said that help cannot be reached now. You leave the post and retreat. Save the life of your colleagues. Major did not prepare for this. Leaving the post meant giving up. He held a small meeting with his troop. Gave a briefing of the situation Said that if someone wants to step back, he can withdraw but we will fight. The bullets were few. Their bodies were responding because of the cold. It was impossible to fight with China. But the battalion showed confidence in its major's decision. Cannon and mortars started attacking from the other side. These 120 soldiers kept fighting with the Chinese soldiers. Each soldier took iron from ten to ten Chinese soldiers. For this, the poet Pradeep wrote, "One was killed by ten, then lost the senses." When the end came, we said that we go. Love the country, now we travel. "

Most of the soldiers were martyred and many were badly injured. Major was stained with blood. Two soldiers took the injured Major Shaitan Singh behind a large icy rock. Medical help was not present there. For this, we had to come down from the snowy hills. The soldiers talked to the Major to get medical help but they refused.

He ordered the soldiers to bring a machine gun. The machine gun arrived. He said that tie the trigger of the gun to my one leg with a rope. Both his hands were soaked. He started firing with one of his legs with the help of rope. He asked both the soldiers to contact the senior officers again. Both soldiers left from there.

Major kept fighting there. Later nothing was revealed about them. Three months later, when the snow melted and the Red Cross Society and army personnel started searching for them, a shepherd told that someone was seen under a rock. People reached under the same cliff where the Major confronted the Chinese soldiers with machine-guns. His body was found with machine-gun at that place. The rope was still tied in the legs. His body was frozen due to snow.

I do not know how long they kept fighting with the Chinese soldiers and when the snow took them in their arms. The bodies of 114 soldiers of his troop were also found with him. The rest of the people were taken captive by China. Although India had lost the war, but later it was found that the biggest loss of China's army was on Rejang La. Around 1800 soldiers from China were killed at this place. This was the only place where the Indian Army did not allow the Chinese army to enter.

Later Major Shaitan Singh was cremated with state honors at his hometown Jodhpur. After this, he received the Param Vir Chakra, the country's largest gallantry award. Today is his birthday. Hats off to his courage.
