In Your Own Season
Reclaiming the Freedom to Live Beyond Expectations
The meaning of life lies in blossoming.
The meaning of life is not about living up to others' expectations.
It's not about comparing who moves faster.
It's not about proving who's more successful.
It's not about shaping yourself into someone easily liked.
The true meaning of life is blossoming.
A flower doesn't ask itself if it resembles other flowers.
It doesn't deny its quiet beauty because of the rose's splendor.
It doesn't blame itself for being too ordinary because of the peony's magnificence.
It simply waits for the wind, waits for the rain, and waits for the sunlight to shine down.
Then, in its own season, it slowly unfolds.
People are the same.
Some people bloom early.
Some people bloom late.
Some are seen from the start.
Some have to walk through a very long, dark night before finally realizing they also have light.
So, don't doubt yourself just because you haven't blossomed yet.
Don't feel like a failure because others are surrounded by applause.
Don't think you're no longer qualified to blossom because you've been hurt, lost, fallen, or let down. Many truly beautiful lives don't grow from smooth sailing.
Instead, they sprout new roots from brokenness.
They learn gentleness from tears.
They learn resilience from failure.
They slowly grow the weight of their souls through days of being ignored by the world.
You once thought those pains would destroy you.
Later you realized,
they were actually pushing you deeper.
Teaching you to cherish.
Teaching you to discern.
Teaching you to love yourself.
And teaching you not to abandon your true self just to please the world.
The blossoming of life isn't necessarily spectacular.
Sometimes, it's simply when you finally stop hating yourself.
Finally willing to forgive the past.
Finally daring to start anew.
Finally able to say to yourself on a quiet morning:
I'm still here.
I'm still willing.
I still believe life can be renewed.
That is blossoming.
It's not about being flawless.
It's not about being forever strong.
It's not about being without tears.
It's about being willing to open your heart even after being hurt.
Even after walking through the darkness, you're still willing to face the light.
Even if the world doesn't immediately see you, you're still willing to be yourself.
The meaning of life isn't about becoming the best version in other people's eyes.
It's about truly living out the light you were meant to shine in the limited time you have.
So, please don't rush.
The roots are still growing.
The flowering season isn't over yet.
The storms aren't the end.
You are becoming yourself.
And when you finally stop comparing, stop trying to please, and stop denying yourself,
you will understand: Life isn't about proving yourself.
Life is about blossoming.
