In The Wake Of Earthquake

A Journey through the hope...

Amidst the rubble and the pain,

A tragedy has struck again.

An earthquake has claimed many lives,

Leaving many more with wounds and strife.

In Antakya, the city of sorrow,

Relatives search for their loved ones to borrow.

In the hospital car park, they scour,

Hoping to find their lost kin before.

But some are left without a trace,

Their bodies lost in this deadly race.

And for those who have lost so much,

The night brings only a chill and a hush.

Temperatures dropping, minus five degrees,

Families huddle in makeshift tents with pleas.

They sit in cars with engines on,

Warming themselves as the night goes on.

Parents roam the streets with their child,

Wrapped in a blanket, warm and mild.

While others find sanctuary with friends,

And some flee the region to make amends.

But many are left with nowhere to go,

Spending their nights in the cold and the snow.

Gyms, mosques, schools, and stores do open,

But beds are still scarce, and hearts are broken.

Melek Halici watches with pain,

Her two-year-old daughter wrapped in a blanket in vain.

Fearing for those still trapped under the rubble,

She prays for their rescue and survival.

Dozens of nations have come to their aid,

Bringing relief and hope in this time of raids.

China, the US, and others unite,

To help in the search for the lost sight.

In the wake of the earthquakes deadly trace,

We stand with the victims and mourn the disgrace.

May the rescue teams find the lost,

And bring comfort and peace at any cost.

Amidst the chaos and the fear,

The spirit of humanity is near.

Volunteers and rescuers unite,

To help the victims, day and night.

They work tirelessly, with no end in sight,

Bringing hope and comfort to those in plight.

Their selflessness and bravery inspire,

As they help to rebuild and rise higher.

The outpouring of support and aid,

Brings light to the darkness of this raid.

Donations of money, goods, and love,

Bring warmth to those who need a warm hug.

Communities come together as one,

Helping each other until the work is done.

They offer shelter, food, and care,

Showing that even in hardship, love can repair.

Though the road ahead may be long and tough,

The resilience and hope of the people are enough.

Together, they will rebuild and rise,

Overcoming this tragedy with strength and prize.

In the end, the earthquake may have taken lives,

But the spirit of humanity always thrives.

For the people of Turkey and Syria, we pray,

For strength and resilience in this time of dismay.
