In the Realm of Words
A heartfelt poem about a dyslexic child
In the quiet corners of the classroom, Where letters dance and syllables twirl, Lives a child with eyes that stumble, A heart that yearns to unfurl.
On the canvas of his mind, Words play hide-and-seek, Letters jumble and tumble, Like autumn leaves in a playful breeze.
The wind whispers secrets, But the child hears a different song, “Read aloud,” they say, but the letters, Oh, the letters—they twist and throng.
He sails through sentences, Navigating choppy seas of ink, His ship, a paper boat of courage, Seeking shores where understanding links.
Stars become constellations, Letters rearranged, a cosmic map, He traces Orion’s belt, but it spells, Not “hunter,” but “hunted” in his lap.
Teachers wield compasses of patience, Guiding him through tangled forests, Where “b” and “d” swap places, And “p” and “q” play mischievous jests.
But oh, his imagination— A kaleidoscope of wonder, He paints stories with colours unseen, Where dragons read bedtime tales to thunder.
He stumbles, but he dances, In the symphony of resilience, Each misstep a note, each struggle, A crescendo of courage and brilliance.
And when the world labels him “backward,” He unfurls wings unseen, For in the quiet corners of the classroom, He’s a dyslexic child—a constellation dream.
Note: Dyslexia is a learning difference, not a limitation. Let us celebrate the unique brilliance of every child. 🌟✨
