Dawn rose, and all the droplets scintillated with apprehension

Dawn is the beginning, yet this was the end of our relation

Or so you claimed so abundantly clear

Provoking a river of droplets of tears

The light hit my face, struck the salty droplets

I was propelled backward by the reflection

of what once was, me being your target

Had it all been an illusion or a plain and simple lie?

I searched for answers but could only end up looking at the sky.

It took you an instant to know it was true.

And no matter what, you pushed through.

You convinced me that we had a strong connection.

The flutters in our hearts were far from being a deception

so, why didn't you stay; why did you have to go away?

My eyes fell; I knew the answer all too well

Nothing could have kept us apart

Except perhaps the notion of hell

The instant I heard the news, it broke my heart

My vision locked with your tomb

and I cried about the inevitable doom

The memory of you was so vibrant; it was infernal

I knew our love to be eternal
