In The Long Run
Thank You
You've made me angry
You've made me hurt,
I fell in love
You treated me like dirt.
I think in the long run
I'll have to say thank you,
You've made me remember
A lesson I already knew.
What made me forget?
I've no idea,
But you've made me tougher
I'll not shed a tear.
Some men are bad news
They don't know how to care,
Maybe one or two do
But believe me they're rare.
So God help the next one
It's you they'll have to thank,
Some men on my list of life
Are in the lowest rank!!!

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
