One day

I met my man

We played our game in sand

The beach was hot and so were we

but free.

We found

A friend and lover we could be

to see and meet agree

and stay for good

It stood

In stars

was written what

between us never shut

the line of love and care towards

our life.

A time

united on the other side

the endles curtain view

will come when through

we be

Last day

A friend and lover we will lose

between us no more blues

has come now through

the light.

I was inspired by the cinquain crown form of poem but created my own 5. stanza pattern. It is collecting sentences from the four previous stanzas, so first line is from 1. stanza, second line is from 2. stanza, thrid line is from 3. stanza and fourth line is from 4. stanza, but not the exact same text repeated but slightly edited and ending with its unique last line.

The poem is about my life with my husband. We have been together for 27 years, and the last years have been marked by illness and too early aging by my partner.
