Ribbons of white float in the blue,
Mountains rising out of view,
Songbirds trill from Rimu trees,
I yearn for you at times like these.
💕
As twilight captures lover's hearts,
The purple haze drives man apart,
A silent killer from the start,
A blight on mother nature's spark!
💕
The golden king has made his mark,
The lust to kill makes still my heart,
The hope they seek hides in the herd,
This poet’s quill makes sharp her words!
💕
Ribbons of white float in the blue,
Mountains rising out of view,
Such beauty speaks of boundless time,
Beyond the curse of man’s demise.
